Heart, Hang On
Heart, hang on—
you have bled for this.
You’ve seen too much, felt too deep,
shattered into shards too sharp to hold,
yet still, you stitched yourself together,
again, and again, and again.
You are fierce, unbreakable,
even in the breaking.
Heart, hang on—
so tender, so achingly soft,
buried beneath the walls I built
to protect you, to hide you.
But you deserve more than this silence.
You deserve to be cradled, cherished,
for you have carried it all—
the wild love, the jagged pain,
the heartache that echoes.
Heart, keep holding on!
I am learning how to heal you.
I know it still hurts so much.
But thank you for not giving up,
for holding onto light
when darkness tried to swallow us whole.
I am learning—learning to heal,
to let you breathe,
but it’s so damn hard.
Still, I’m learning.
Heart, hang on—
don’t stop daring to feel,
don’t stop reaching for more.
You are made of fire and tenderness.
We will find our way.
We will heal.
