Memphis raised, Nashville honed, and Atlanta seasoned, Debbie Schrodt has been a singer, songwriter, and musician since the age of 17. She received a degree in Vocal Performance with emphasis on Music Business from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, and subsequently worked for MCA Records in Nashville where she provided marketing and sales support to the label’s many talented country music artists. Nights were spent writing her own songs and performing in a variety of venues, including multiple appearances at the Bluebird Cafe, various other music clubs, coffee houses, restaurants, and major hotels. She later moved to the MCA Pop/R&B Division based in Atlanta where she continued to write and perform her original songs in similar venues.
Debbie has performed for crowds of all sizes and has never failed to charm audiences with her warmth, wit, and honesty. She has opened for multiple popular motivational speakers, including Carolyn Myss, Marianne Williamson, Edwene Gaines, and Dr. Sue Morter, and shared the stage with new thought artists, such as Faith Rivera, Daniel Nahmod, J.D. Martin, Jan Garrett, and others. From the very first listen, it’s apparent that her songs are written from the heart. Writing music is a cathartic release to her. In her words, “Music is and always will be my heart and my art.”
Debbie has two CD’s, All Along This Path and Beautiful You, available on iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby as well as through her website, and she is currently working on new material for several upcoming albums and tour. She is also available to perform from her extensive catalog of original songs or songs from any decade and genre of music at house concerts, festivals, corporate events, retreats, restaurants, weddings, funerals, senior homes, traditional and new thought churches, and more.
